What Community is

Community is software built and run by ABIE, LLC that a residential community uses to manage its gate: who is expected, who arrived, who lives where, and who may open which door. It keeps the record and passes messages between the people involved. It does not make the decisions. A guard decides who comes in, a resident decides who is expected, and a property manager decides how the community is run.

Changes

These terms will change as Community does. The date at the top says when they last did. A change that matters to how you use the service will be announced inside it before it takes effect.

Responsibility

ABIE is responsible for running the software with reasonable care and for handling information as the privacy page describes. ABIE is not responsible for decisions made at the gate, for what a community does with its own records, or for loss that follows from the service being unavailable when a community has no other way to run its gate. Where the law limits how far this can go, the law applies.

Getting in touch

For anything about your own community, start with your property manager. For anything about the software, ABIE can be reached through www.abie.com.
